Where I grew up in southern California, I did not see the animals I do now living in Minnesota. Animals have always spoke to me. Their eyes are truly the window to their soul. I feel in some way a connection to them. We have a lot of deer around us, including bears, birds and rabbits. Putting them on wood panel or canvas sometimes, is my way of connecting to their spirit.
